Surrounded by the Dolomites, a World Heritage Site which rises to 3000 meters, Val di Fiemme is famous all over the world for the high quality of its spruce trees, its geological variety, and the top-level international sporting events which take place here every winter. It is a truly beautiful place to cast a fly.
The Avisio is our main river. it originates from the Marmolada Glacier and, after 90 km, flows into the Adige. The section administered by the Val Fiemme Fishermen's Association to which I belong, is about fifteen kilometers long and includes two "Protected Marble Trout" areas where only artificial baits are allowed. The Avisio, populated by Brown Trout and Marble Trout is noted, above all, for nymphing and streamer techniques
It is the most important tributary of the Avisio. It originates in the Pale di San Martino, crosses the Paneveggio Natural Park, and ends its journey in Predazzo. Our stretch is about 10 kilometers long and includes a "Protected Marble Trout" area where only artificial baits are allowed. This picturesque stream, particularly well suited for the dry fly, it is highly admired for the beauty of its brown trout which swim there in abundance.
Some minor streams, alpine lakes, and a reservoir make up the rest of the waters managed by our association
